For Immediate Release
Greenfield Police Department to Offer Concealed Carry Training
The Greenfield Police Department is proud to announce that it will offer Concealed Carry Training in anticipation of the implementation of the new Concealed Carry Law
in November.
Training will consist of six-hours of classroom and practical exercises. Students will learn the legal aspects of concealed carry, weapons familiarization and ways to
safely carry a firearm. The class will conclude with practical exercises using Simunition weapons which will expose the students to deadly force judgment and decision making. Simunitions allow student to use
real firearms which shoot a modified round with small paint cartridge.
We would much rather have our residents attend the training than simply use a hunter safety class they attended 20 years ago to fulfill the training requirements.
Ultimately this training program is going to make the community a safer place to live by teaching people the rights and wrongs of concealed carry and the safety and psychological issues involved.
Three Saturday sessions are currently open for registration: November 5 and November 12. Additional classes may be added based on demand. The cost of the class will be
$100 for Greenfield residents and $150 for non-residents. Participants must be 21 year sof age. To register, contact the Greenfield Police Department at 414-761-5357 or email Administrative
Assistant Barbara Piotrowski.
