National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The NNO will also feature displays by the Greenfield Police and Fire Departments, public works and health department as well as community partners; children’s games and entertainment. Food will be provided at no cost (while supplies last). This year’s event will also feature “Dunk the DARE Officer” where children can try their luck at the dunk tank, sending DARE Officer Jim Pizur into the drink.

Greenfield’s 2nd Annual National Night Out (NNO) will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Konkel Park at 6:00 PM.
Thanks to a generous donation from Dan Jansen Family Fest, entertainment
at this year’s NNO will include a special “5th Quarter” show and revue by the University of Wisconsin Marching Band at 7:15 PM.
