Greenfield’s 4th Annual National Night Out (NNO) will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Konkel Park beginning at 5:30 PM.

National Night Out is designed to heighten the awareness of crime and drug prevention; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

This year’s NNO will include a special “5^th Quarter” show and revue by the University of Wisconsin Marching Band at 7:30 PM.

The NNO will also showcase Greenfield Police and Fire Department vehicles and equipment with a special display and demonstration of SWAT team gear! participating groups include the Department of Public Works, Health Department and many community partners. Children can enjoy games, giant inflatables and entertainment. Brats and hot dogs will be provided at no cost (while supplies last).

This year’s event will also feature “Dunk the DARE Officer” where children can try their luck at the dunk tank, sending a DARE Officer into the drink and an extra-special Canine Demonstration.
