** Reflects a change in record keeping using our new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. Prior to 2007, all “Follow-up calls and most “Miscellaneous” generated a separate and distinct call for service.

Beginning in 2007, these calls are added to the activity and tracked in the original call for service to allow more accurate tracking of time spent on investigative activities.

Example: An officer responding to a forgery complaint on Tuesday and conducting a follow up investigation of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday would generate four separate calls for service (one “forgery” and three “follow up”). Beginning in 2007, the same scenario generates only one call for service. Follow up activities are logged into the original call.
